St. Mary’s Allotments
A Planning Application has been made by Westleigh Builders
for 113 houses and 12 apartments.
An amended Planning Application has been made by Westleigh Builders to build on St. Mary’s.
Westleigh intends to build on the former allotments. They have put in an amended planning application to change the layout. There are no plans to increase the size of the development.

The plans can also be seen for a limited period of time at Customer Service Centre, 91 Granby Street, Leicester, LE1 6FB. It is open 8.30am to 5pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. 9.30am to 6pm on Wednesday and 8.30am to 4.30pm on Friday.
Any objections to the previous planning application will still be considered but the Deadline for any comments or objections to the amended plans is Tuesday, 24th January.2017.
Public Meeting on the Proposed Open Space and Nature Area on part of the former St. Mary’s Allotments will be held at the next meeting of the Aylestone Park Residents’ Group. This will be held at The Church of the Nativity on the corner of Richmond and Cavendish Road from 7.30pm on Thursday, 2nd February 2017. The entrance is the door on Cavendish Road (opposite 68) and the Church Hall is the door on your left.

The Conservation Volunteers are intending to work on St. Mary’s until summer 2017. No work is done over the summer due to nesting birds. The Work Days are open to everyone and meet at the Aylestone Road entrance at 10am. Light refreshments are provided.
